These workshops are part of the Made in Oldbury project by Laundry. It takes its current title from ‘an exhibition of local Industrial effort’ held at Langley Baths in 1949, which was intended to promote Oldbury to the world at large. With very little recorded details about many of over 250 Oldbury firms from 1945 to the 1960’s, we are researching the works of a vast array of these factories within living memory, collecting stories and memorabilia associated with local production. Even the smallest memory is important to be preserved. The project has been supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Arts Council.
