In the 1980s, as the demolition of the greater part of Chance glassworks was underway to make way for a new industrial estate at Crystal Drive, a filing cabinet was found dumped a skip, which contained 2 x 2 negatives. These were salvaged and eventually ended up in Sandwell Archives. As part of their lighthouse project, artists Brendan Jackson and Geoff Broadway have been sorting though this material. Come and view some unexpected images and share some memories of Chance Brothers of Smethwick.
