Some member updates…
At the end of June, Paul Lacey made a presentation about the Jubilee Archive web site at a networking event at the Digital Humanities Hub, University of Birmingham for Heritage Lottery Fund (the main funder of the archive project), sharing his thoughts on web construction and web security.
In July, Brendan participated in the final events for the Borderland Atlantis project in Poland and Lithuania, and then began a new project in Poti, Georgia, working with the Museum of Colchian Culture and Poti State Theatre.
Alicja Rogalska has been sharing her fabulous project ‘Tear Dealer’ at Chelsea College of Arts London. The project was made with made with Łukasz Surowiec in Lublin, and this version is a pop-up stall where anyone can produce and sell their a tears for cash. Ania Bas is working in Loughborough. Show Me How sessions have now started and will run till early August – opportunities where you can learn how to make things, meet other people and talk about the value of practical skills. All sessions are free and take place in The Organ Grinder pub in Loughborough town centre. Show Me How is part of Market Town, a programme of new commissions and critical debate that sets out to re-imagine the future of Loughborough’s high streets. Commissioned by Radar.
